Milatos village lies on the north east coast of Crete about 20 mins.west of Agios Nikolaos and about 45mins drive east of the city of Heraklion, all in the prefecture of Lassithi. Milatos is a quiet village with narrow streets and traditional houses. It has three main areas; one part along the shore with a few tavernas on the edge of the sea, these are connected by a short road to the traditional village. The 3^rd area is the historic Milatos caves.
